Jin Hyun Park

A native of South Korea, pianist Jin Hyun Park is a graduate of the Saint Petersburg State Conservatory, where she studied with the renowned professor Elena Shishko. Her performances, both as a soloist and with ensembles, have included appearances at the Kastamoksha Music Festival and the Russian International Music Festival, as well as concerts with the Saint Petersburg Regional Orchestra and Saint Petersburg String Quartet. She has given solo recitals at Saint Petersburg’s Kapella Hall and Philharmonic Hall, and in Pushkin City.
Following her time in Russia, Ms. Park came to Philadelphia for additional study. She earned her B.M. in piano performance and M.M. in chamber piano accompanying and opera coaching at Temple University, where she studied with Harvey Wedeen and Lambert Orkis. She was the recipient of the Millard E. Gladfelter Scholarship, awarded to a student with “high scholarship, demonstrated need, and exceptional professional promise.” In the summer of 2008 she participated as an apprentice pianist with the Lake George Opera Company. In 2015 she was a participant in the professional development program of SongFest LA, and also participated as a collaborative pianist in Philadelphia’s Russian Opera Workshop.
Ms. Park joined the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music in 2016.
