Overtones: Fall 2023

As the Curtis community prepares to celebrate its 100th anniversary, we look back at the school’s storied history with 25 impactful moments. We explore how AI generators and synthesizers are impacting the careers of studio musicians, and what musicians should look for in headshots. Faculty member Steven Mackey and guitar alumna Jiji are interviewed about their collaboration for the world premiere of Mackey’s Aluminum Flowers with the Curtis Symphony Orchestra.
